Welcome

I enjoy painting a wide range of subjects, from architecture to portraits, landscapes to seascapes. 

In my home studio in the village of Kilmaurs, I like to experiment with watercolours, oils, gouache and charcoals and I'm always keen to learn new things.

I am particularly drawn to painting en plein air, where I can respond directly to the atmosphere and character of a place. Often working quickly and intuitively, I aim to capture the essence of a scene, and hope that this results in lively and interesting art!

I'm thankful that I live in Ayrshire and have an abundance of wonderful scenery to provide inspiration. 

I hold regular watercolour classes in Kilmaurs as well as monthly Paint and Sip nights and other workshops including Parent and Child classes and oil painting.

Monthly Paint & Sip nights are held at the Kilmaurs Masonic Club, on the below dates. 

7pm start, till around 9.30

A fun evening of creativity, in a group of around ten people, following along with me as we paint using acrylics on canvas!
